Porter Robinson Unveils Progressive House Alias ‘Air To Earth’ for Second Sky Festival

Porter Robinson has established himself as one of the most iconic names in modern electronic music. From his early days making high energy electro on OWSLA to his recent multi-genre album release Nurture, Porter has been a trendsetter since his teenage years.

He threw his first festival, Second Sky, in June 2019 at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland, California. The festival is once again returning to Oakland, this time at Oakland Arena Grounds due to complications with the original venue.

Porter’s Secret Sky was easily one of the most memorable virtual events of the pandemic, with Robinson showcasing a diverse lineup of talent before throwing down an unforgettable headlining set in May 2020. He brought back the virtual event once again in April of this year.

Following its debut in 2019, Second Sky 2021 will feature performances from Porter Robinson, Madeon, Jai Wolf, Toro Y Moi, Jon Hopkins, Jacob Collier, Wavedash, Knower, and finally, Air To Earth. Day-one fans might notice the absence of DJ Potaro; Air To Earth will be taking their place at the beginning of the festival.

Take a listen to Porter Robinson’s progressive house side project, Air to Earth:

Porter plays early to ensure even the artists first up on the festival lineup have a sizable crowd to play for. Recognizing his passionate fans will show up early for his set, he plays the first set of the day (and the last) so everyone is encouraged to stay for the entirety of the show.
