Movement Electronic Music Festival just announced one of their best lineups yet for Memorial Day Weekend 2023.
Movement Festival is one of America’s best house and techno festivals and most underrated electronic music events. They just announced their 2023 lineup with big names like Fisher, Skrillex, Kaskade, and Zeds Dead next to underground house and techno icons like Stephan Bodzin, KiNK, Chris Liebing, Audion, and Bassment Jaxx.
Movement takes place in the heart of downtown Detroit, and the entire city is taken over by the festival and its surrounding afterparties. Last year’s Movement was another unforgettable year, and it’s on our can’t-miss festivals for 2023.

Movement is known for its mix of underground house and techno, but the festival always brings out much more than that.
Looking through the lineup, there’s a mix of both recognizable can’t-miss artists and lesser known, more underground names. Some of the more well known house names include Green Velvet, Dom Dolla b2b John Summit, Lee Foss, DJ Seinfeld, Maceo Plex, Mija, Soul Clap, and Stacey Pullen.
Movement is one of the few festivals dedicated to bringing out a diverse mix of techno from more minimal styles to hard-hitting, intense techno at the underground stage. Ben Sims, Sara Landry, FJAAK, Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Rebuke, and Charlotte de Witte are just a few of the techno artists coming to Hart Plaza in 2023.

Movement is hosting some serious headliners this year including Skrillex and Three 6 Mafia.
Skrillex is one of the most anticipated acts on the lineup, as he was previously supposed to play in 2022 but canceled in weeks prior to the festival. Three 6 Mafia will perform as a group following a 2017 solo set from Juicy J. Zeds Dead is playing an Altered States set, which they describe as “sounds from a different state and altered consciousness”.

There are also many interesting b2b sets on the lineup including Derrick Carter b2b Mark Farina, Magda b2b Mike Servito, and Dantiez b2b Kevin Saunderson. Other notable artists include Heidi, Bonobo, Ricardo Villalobos, Sam Divine, Masters at Work, Ida Enberg, Mele, Cassy, Klangkuenstler, and many more.
Movement is a great place to discover new styles of music and see some recognizable headliners as well. Tickets are available now and start at $279 for 3 day GA and $119 for single day GA.
