Heatwave Music Festival is returning for its second year in Chicago and is relocating from Douglass Park to Northerly Island.
Last year, Heatwave Music Festival from Auris Presents made waves as Chicago’s newest summertime music festival. Heatwave just announced its 2023 lineup and a new venue for June 10-11.
Moving from Douglass Park to a more centralized location at Northerly Island, Heatwave Music Festival will be headlined by Griz, Slander, Tiesto, and Kx5 (Kaskade x deadmau5). The entire phase one lineup was just announced, and it also includes artists like SIDEPIECE, Loud Luxury, Gryffin, Cheat Codes, LSDream, and Deorro.
Heatwave Music Festival 2023 Lineup:
Heatwave Music Festival made its debut last year as one of the premier EDM festivals during the summer months in Chicago.
While Lollapalooza is still the city’s main attraction during festival season, Heatwave took place just a few weeks before and arguably had a more impressive lineup of electronic music. Heatwave is also the unofficial successor to Spring Awakening Music Festival, which used to take place every June but last occurred in October 2021.
Heatwave 2023 features a mix of festival-ready EDM artists, including an impressive slate of headliners.
After the headliners Griz, Gryffin, Kx5, Slander, Tiesto, Loud Luxury, LSDream, and Malaa, the rest of the lineup has solid depth. When it comes to house music, A-Trak b2b VNSSA is a rather unexpected pairing. KREAM, Nostalgix, The Sponges, SIDEPIECE, Noizu, and EDX will also put on solid performances.
Dubstep and bass music will be found at Heatwave with artists like Apashe, Automhate, Kaivon, and Kai Wachi. Other performances we’re looking forward to include Cheat Codes, Deorro, Elephante, Forester, Luude, NOTD, and Whethan.
Heatwave Festival tickets are on sale now and start at $169.
With a new venue and deep lineup for 2023, Heatwave will be a can’t-miss festival for the Chicago EDM community along with North Coast Music Festival.
