The Suwannee Hulaween 2022 Lineup is Full of Tricks and Treats

It’s time to get your costumes ready because the sold-out Suwannee Hulaween Festival is only a few days away from casting its spell over Spirit Lake! Every festival lineup has artists who you can almost guarantee will amaze and captivate their crowds: the treats. However, there is another type of artist that either doesn’t have a major following yet or takes us on a journey that we weren’t expecting: the tricks.

To get into the spirit, here’s a list of the tricks and treats you’ll encounter within the Suwannee Hulaween lineup. Pay attention to the tricks because often they become some of the best treats.

Suwannee Hulaween 2022 Can’t-Miss Artists

Thursday, Oct 27th

Treat: Gigantic NGHTMRE

Big Gigantic had one of the best Electric Forest headlining sets, bringing featured artists on stage, live instruments, and genre-bending diversity. Their jazzy dubs and featured rap tracks never disappoint. Big Gigantic will once again combine their sounds with NGHTMRE, and this will be a spectacle treat that you will not want to miss.

Trick: Tripp St.

Tripp St. has gained traction paired with Clozee’s Neon Jungle tour and her Odezy label. His masked profile and melodic storytelling will be sure to bring intrigue to the mist-laden swamps and vine-covered trees. His albums and sets tend to feel very cohesive, as if it’s just one song that continues to flow and evolve. As part of the Wakaan takeover, you can be sure to be captivated by their sounds and the nature surrounding it.

Friday, Oct 28th

Treat: Clozee

Clozee just finished headlining The Caverns and Red Rocks and will be surely ready to bring the Suwannee trees to life. The French DJ/producer is consistently hard at work bringing new mixes and VIP edits of her signature tribal bass and ethereal sounds that soar beyond imagination. At her Red Rocks show, she surprised with a guest appearance from the first female to win the french DMC championship. Clozee always brings a unique and powerful feminine energy to anything she does and will be guaranteed to leave the spectators floating in wonder.

Trick: A Hundred Drums

A Hundred Drums has been on the rise for a while and innovating her sounds along the way. She’s been vocal on social media about her appreciation of her fans’ ability to adapt while she takes some risks and evolves her music. Her project has brought dub, reggae, and tribal bass together and although she’s early in the schedule, she is well worth your time and attention.

Saturday, Oct 29th

Treat: The String Cheese Incident

The String Cheese Incident will play multiple sets each day, but on Saturday evening, they will hold their “Big Shabang” which is not to be missed. In the past, they’ve brought out giant parade-size balloons, fire dancers, confetti, fireworks, a giant disco ball on a crane, and lots of lasers to make this one moment… or ”Incident” something that you’ll be talking about for years afterward. This year’s theme is “Suwannee Horror Disco Show” and we can only imagine what they plan to do with their headlining set.

Trick: Of The Trees

Of The Trees has only recently begun to headline shows and has a major headline show next year at the Caverns. After his Electric Forest set, which was a mix of unique sound production and incredible visual effects, he will surely bring a very intriguing energy to the mysteries within the swamp. Mixing downtempo melodic bass with vocal edits and nature sound effects, this producer and DJ has become a force in the scene and is worth marking your calendar for.

Sunday Oct. 30th

Treat: Mikey Lion and Desert Hearts

Mikey Lion has never disappointed with his upbeat house music. Mikey is always taking the time to add extra layers of sound and edits to his music, elevating it above the average set. Mikey Lion will be there to end your weekend on a high note of dancing and good energy. There’s no better treat than getting lost in a crowd of people dancing to great house music.

Trick: Two Feet

Two Feet just wrapped up his national tour and will be capping it off with a festival set. His guitar solos and lyrics are sure to take you on a beautiful journey of emotions. His music comes directly from the heart, and he will be sure to capture an audience and surprise the ones who have never heard of him. Live instruments, beautiful songwriting, and solid vocals are a diversion from the standard festival DJs, and this may be worth a second look to relax and inspire you on your final day.

Whenever a festival schedule is released there are often conflicts and difficult decisions to be made, but know that no matter where you are, you’re in the right place for you. Enjoy the moments and people around you, wear a costume and dance like you’re the star of the show, and respect the artists who are bringing their art projects to the stage with a labor of love. Suwannee Hulaween always brings us the tricks, treats, and everything between to make for a wonderful Halloween celebration.
