5 Must-See House Music Artists at North Coast Music Festival 2022

North Coast Music Festival is bringing a diverse mix of EDM to Chicagoland this Labor Day Weekend with an impressive lineup of house & techno.


North Coast Music Festival is about to celebrate its 12th year as Chicago’s favorite Labor Day Weekend music festival. NCMF 2022 will host a diverse mix of EDM, with dubstep, melodic bass, and plenty of house and techno music.

While ARC Music Festival is at North Coast’s old venue and hosts a deep selection of electronic music the same weekend, North Coast includes a solid selection of house and techno as well. ARC is all about proper underground music, while North Coast is an EDM festival with a mix of all genres.

The North Coast schedule is out now. There are can’t-miss artists across all genres like Gryffin, Porter Robinson, Eptic, and Kaytranada. Keep reading for our top five house and techno picks for North Coast Music Festival 2022.

Martin Ikin, The Canopy, Saturday 4-5 PM

Martin Ikin has been a DJ and producer since 1991 and has had several aliases. Following his past projects like Soul Project, DJ Mayhem, and Indigo, he now performs house music under his own name, Martin Ikin. Often releasing on Toolroom Records and Ultra Records, Martin Ikin’s tracks are identifiable by their piano chords and fat basslines.

Dombresky, The Stadium, Saturday 6:15-7:30 PM

Dombresky first took the scene by storm in 2015 when he did an official remix for A-Trak and collaborated with Tchami on “After Life”. He has since created some of the mainstream house scene’s most recognizable songs like “Soul Sacrifice” and “Simple Hit”. Dombresky is known for his smooth yet energetic style of house and recently played b2b sets with Noizu.

Luttrell, The Canopy, Saturday 7-8:15 PM

A former member of The M Machine, Eric Luttrell was releasing music on Skrillex’s OWSLA label in 2012. He started his solo career as Luttrell in 2015 and has since become one of Anjunadeep’s leading artists. Luttrell’s style of progressive house music brings calming and dreamy vibes while maintaining an upbeat energy. He just released the third album in his Music For My Memories trilogy.

Yotto, The Canopy, Saturday 8:15-9:30 PM

A diverse and talented DJ/producer, Finnish artist Yotto can’t be pinned down to any genre. He first came to prominence as one of Anjunadeep’s most successful artists with his unique mix of house and techno. Yotto soon started his record label Odd One Out, which hosts his music along with artists like Cassian, Anden, and SOHMI. His most recent album Erased Dreams was an experimental low-tempo project. Expect a unique set from Yotto on Diplo’s Higher Ground stage.

Diplo, The Canopy, Saturday 9:30-11 PM

EDM legend Diplo has stayed relevant in the electronic music scene for several decades. A talented producer that excels in any style of music, his recently formed record label Higher Ground has become one of the hottest in house music. The label is taking over The Canopy stage on Saturday, and Diplo’s closing set promises to be one of the highlights of the day.
