Win Tickets and a Meet & Greet to EDM Chicago’s New Year’s Day Event featuring Bailo and Ghost in Real Life

EDM Chicago is kicking off 2022 with a full lineup of bass music at Primary Nightclub featuring Bailo, Ghost in Real Life, and Zebo.

You probably already made your plans for New Year’s Eve this year. But what about New Year’s Day? With NYE falling on a Friday this year, Saturday, January 1st, 2022 is another opportunity to go out and enjoy live music. We’ll definitely be partying at EDM Chicago Presents: Banned On Day One at Primary Nightclub.

With over 75k members, EDM Chicago is one of the electronic music scene’s biggest social media communities. The moderators behind the group have thrown a few events around Chicago recently, and January 1st will be their biggest one yet. Hosted at the intimate Primary Nightclub, Saturday night will be a heavy trap and bass night at a venue usually reserved for house music. Tickets are available now, and can also be won in the contest below.

The event is headlined by trap legend Bailo and Ghost In Real Life, one of the genre’s top rising stars.

Bailo has been in the game since 2015 and released two EPs on Yellow Claw’s Barong Family label. In 2021, he came out with two singles on Buygore: “BLESSINGS” and “ROLLIN“. Bailo’s November 2021 EP Trapped Out II is a good place to get familiar with his heavy trap sound.

Featured on Excision’s Subsidia Records with “My Own Mind“, Ghost In Real Life (G.I.R.L.) is quickly gaining popularity in the bass music scene. With a style influenced by classic EDM trap, this Los Angeles based artist is one to watch in 2022. Her debut EP The Invisible Enemy came out in June 2021.

We’ve partnered with EDM Chicago, Primary Nightclub, Bailo, and Ghost In Real Life for an exclusive meet and greet for Saturday’s event. This 1-of-1 ticket package cannot be purchased. The winner will receive two free tickets and backstage access at Primary Nightclub to hang with Bailo and Ghost In Real Life before their sets.

Banned On Day one also features an impressive opening lineup: BRVTHERS KEEPER, Zebo, and Djorgiou.

BRVTHERS KEEPER has become a staple of EDM Chicago events and played at North Coast Music Festival 2021. Zebo has been one of the most respected names in the Chicago scene for years, and even DJed the first night that Primary Nightclub was open. Djorgiou is a multi-genre producer/DJ from Chicago that previously opened up for Qlank at Music Box.

Going from 10 PM-5 AM, Primary is definitely the place to be on Saturday night. And if you haven’t already, be sure to join the EDM Chicago Facebook group to keep up with the latest shows, festivals, trolling, and memes.
