Galantis Announces MIDSOMMAR Tour Ahead of ‘The Devil’s Tax Return’ EP

Galantis has released several songs off their upcoming EP ‘The Devil’s Tax Return’, with the MIDSOMMAR tour continuing this weekend in Chicago.

2026 has been an exciting year for Galantis. Now the solo project of Christian Karlsson, Galantis is gearing up for an EP release later this year with a unique lineup of live shows.

Karlsson is formerly of the indie dance trio Miike Snow. He also found success as Bloodshy, producing hits like “Toxic” and “Piece of Me” by Britney Spears in the duo Bloodshy & Avant.

The Devil’s Tax Return is an EP scheduled for release later this year that sees Galantis reimagining songs from different eras and genres. Karlsson revisits some of his all-time favorite tracks and strips each one back to its emotional core before giving them their own new vibe.

The EP features samples from artists including Frankie Valli, The Killers, Feist, War on Drugs, and more. The full tracklist is out now, and several tracks have already been released as singles.

Following a set at Electric Forest 2026, Galantis will also continue on with the MIDSOMMAR concert series. The first edition in San Francisco was a success, with future dates in Chicago (The Salt Shed Fairgrounds), New York (The Rooftop at Pier 17), and Denver (Junkyard). Openers include Jessica Audiffred and TELYKAST.

“Some records feel untouchable because they already captured a moment so perfectly. ‘Do You Mind’ is one of those tracks. Instead of trying to completely reinvent it, I wanted to celebrate what made it so special while giving it a new life. It’s a record I’ve loved for years and I like the idea of taking care of the music that we already know and love. I want my kids and their generation to know these songs.

It’s important not to forget all the beauty in music that we’ve had.”
