Summer Camp Music Festival Cancelation Likely as Vendors, Artists Pull Out

Summer Camp Music Festival 2026 in Chillicothe, Illinois is likely canceled this Memorial Day.

Summer Camp Music Festival in Central Illinois has been a longstanding festival in the music scene for decades. With the festival just a few weeks away, it appears that the event will not be moving forward and is facing imminent cancelation.

The event was scheduled to be significantly scaled back in 2026. The lineup was downsized, as well as the venue and overall fan experience.

The first clue of Summer Camp’s cancelation was released last night, when techno collective Redline Chicago announced that they would no longer be hosting afters in the Red Barn.

More and more evidence was slowly released. Vendors were left in the dark; the organization coordinating vendor and sponsors backed out amid ongoing uncertainty. Read more about one vendor’s experience and his report that the festival is officially canceled according to the police chief.

Other clues are present as well. Big Gigantic posted their summer tour dates without Scamp listed. Summer Camp artist Dogma posted that the event is officially canceled.

The official Summer Camp Instagram account has wiped all evidence of its 2026 lineup from its photos. While the lineup and ticket sales are still available on the Summer Camp website, this is likely to change soon. Local news is now reporting the festival is officially canceled.

The Festive Owl reported that Summer Camp posted an official cancelation message on their website.

Summer Camp has a reputation of a legendary festival, but it looks like Scamp is no longer happening in 2026.
