The drum n bass genre continues to grow in America and around the world. And no group is more critical to this success than the Worship Artists collective.
The group is currently touring across the continent with a lineup of 1991, Culture Shock, Sub Focus, and Dimension. Upcoming tour stops include New York, D.C., Toronto, Denver, and Los Angeles, as well as a stop during Miami Music Week for their second annual MMW collab with Brownies & Lemonade. We caught the Worship Tour at their March 16 stop at Radius Chicago, and it was an epic that night lived up to the hype.
Currently on their third North American tour, Worship is bringing drum n bass to America in a way that has never been done before.
Their show in Chicago attracted a diverse clientele of both new ravers and old DNB heads. The stage was shared by the DJs and dozens of dancing fans that kept the onstage energy high the entire night. Starting with sets from 1991 and Culture Shock, the night ended with performances from Sub Focus and Dimension. Pushing the next generation of drum n bass music, Worship is one of the most in-demand tours in the electronic scene today.
Sub Focus has been a mainstay in the UK scene since 2005, when his early releases saw success on the British dance charts. Dimension drew the attention of Skrillex, deadmau5, and Zeds Dead early in his career and recently performed at a sold out Wembley Arena. Culture Shock and 1991 have taken the drum n bass scene by storm in recent years, gaining support from Andy C’s RAM Records and Chase & Status’ MTA Records.
The Worship Tour in Chicago was a proper night of drum n bass music.
From the first set by 1991 to the closing set from Dimension, Worship provided over four hours of diverse and high quality drum n bass. Each artist showcased their own spin on the genre, and the sets were all unique in their own ways.
