5 Must-See Artists at the Inaugural Heatwave Festival in Chicago

Heatwave Festival is coming to Douglass Park in Chicago this upcoming weekend, and we can’t wait to see these artists and more from July 16-17.


Heatwave Festival from Auris Presents is celebrating its first edition at Chicago’s Douglass Park this upcoming weekend! With headliners like Above & Beyond, RL Grime, Tiesto, and Zeds Dead, the inaugural Heatwave Festival will be a weekend to remember in Chicago.

The festival’s hours are from 2 PM-10 PM each day with three stages of music going for the full eight hours. Heatwave is successfully filling the void left from Spring Awakening Music Festival as is the new #1 summer EDM festival in the Windy City.

The Heatwave 2022 lineup features a mix of both international headlining artists and Chicago DJ/producers. Take a look below for set times and our list of top artists to see at Heatwave Festival 2022.


Rome in Silver, The Reverie Stage, 4:30 PM Saturday

Coming off a 2022 tour that stopped at Okeechobee, Ubbi Dubbi, Lightning In A Bottle, and Electric Forest, Rome in Silver is an artist that plays a diverse mix of forward-thinking house and bass music. He has released EPs on Monstercat, Quality Goods Records, and most recently, bitbird. Rome in Silver returns to Chicago after opening for Dabin at Concord Music Hall in February.


RL Grime, The Reverie Stage, 8:30 PM Saturday

Trap lord RL Grime will be playing a 90 minute headlining set opposite Above & Beyond on Saturday night. RL Grime is known for his mix of electronic trap music fused with original hip-hop and vocal productions. His record label Sable Valley is one of the industry’s leading collectives for trap and bass music. With an extended headlining festival slot, expect RL Grime to absolutely throw down at Heatwave.


Très Mortimer, The Reverie Stage, 2:40 PM Sunday

Très Mortimer is an up-and-coming house DJ/producer originally from Chicago. He has performed at several shows alongside Steve Aoki including Summerfest in Milwaukee and Dim Mak’s Miami Music Week showcase. Très Mortimer recently unveiled his record label, Optics Records, and was featured on the Chicago Hood Politics compilation earlier in 2022.


Sam Feldt b2b Jonas Blue, The Inevitable Stage, 6 PM Sunday

Sam Feldt and Jonas Blue are two of the biggest names when it comes to mainstage EDM. These two talented and successful producers are coming together to form Endless Summer, a collaborative project that just released its first single “Till The End”. Endless Summer will be debuting at Academy LA on Saturday, July 16th and performing at Sunday, Heatwave on July 17th.


Tiësto, The Inevitable Stage, 8:30 PM Sunday

Legendary Dutch DJ Tiësto has consistently delivered on headlining performances for decades. His sets always feature an energetic mix of EDM from both past and present. Tiesto recently collaborated with Charli XCX on “Hot In It”, and his recent Together Again EP featured appearances from Lucas & Steve, Ummet Ozcan, and Killfake. With Zeds Dead playing on the opposite stage to close the festival, you really can’t go wrong on Sunday night.
