Experimental electronic-pop duo STAR SEED returns to Ophelia Records for ‘Digital Forest’, their second EP on the Seven Lions-led label.
STAR SEED is an exciting producer/DJ duo with a unique style of electronic-pop influenced music. Their latest release, Digital Forest, is an epic EP on Seven Lions‘ Ophelia Records.
Consisting of two artists with previous experience in the music industry, STAR SEED was formed in 2020, with their first release coming later that year. The Innerspace EP came on Ophelia Records in 2021, which included collaborations with YULTON, Tsu Nami, and Charity Vance. Digital Forest is STAR SEED’s first release on Ophelia since Innerspace and features three songs with a futuristic and uplifting vibe.
The first track, “Digital Forest”, opens the EP with autotuned vocals and big melodic sounds.
Every track on Digital Forest is notably well produced and captures a perfect vibe for Ophelia Records. “All I’d Ever Need” featuring rising vocalist Meggie York is one of the highlights of the EP. Its the fourth time STAR SEED has worked with Meggie York, with the most recent being “U&I” in 2021.
“Don’t Forget”, a collaboration with Vaance, features some of the heaviest drops on the EP.
Vaance has recently had releases on both NCS and Excision‘s Subsidia Records. “Don’t Forget”, his first collaboration with STAR SEED, brings an emotional and creative vibe to close out Digital Forest. This is definitely an EP worth listening to, and STAR SEED is an artist duo that we’ll be keeping a close eye on in the future as this project continues to grow.
