The Arena of Intergalactic Happiness was a Cinematic Masterpiece from Zeds Dead

It’s another year and another epic run of shows put on by Zeds Dead in Chicago.

Deadbeats fans look forward to the weekend every year where Zeds Dead take over Chicago for two nights of hard hitting bass, and this one was certainly one for the books.

In 2025, the duo moved the show to Wintrust Arena and built on their consistent run of production throughout the years. The new stage design and production concept set the tone for the overall vibe of the night. The support acts for this run were as eclectic as they were impressive, with names like Jade Cicada, Esseks, Apashe, and Delta Heavy each providing their own unique journey in the lead up to the headlining show.

Zeds Dead are coming off one of their biggest album releases to date with Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness. The highly anticipated album was on full display at Wintrust Arena to close out 2025.

Intergalactic Happiness certainly takes you on a journey spanning different sonic dimensions, and witnessing it live really took the overall experience to an entirely new level. The motif of an old CRT TV Screen playing clips form the artists they sampled was a cool creative touch and very fitting given the feel of the album’s nostalgic undertones. The size and quality of the production on this run was bigger than previous year’s shows at Aragon Ballroom and the House of Blues.

Overall, this Zeds Dead tour feels like a true culmination of everything they have been putting out over the last 10+ years. Their storytelling through visuals and seamless melding with the music made for a cohesive journey throughout the night, and it really brought us back to what makes us love Zeds Dead in the first place.
