The Knocks & Dragonette Team Up on Collaborative Album ‘Revelation’

Grammy-nominated electronic duo The Knocks and Canadian powerhouse vocalist Dragonette release their debut collaborative LP ‘Revelation’ on Virgin Records.

Since 2016, The Knocks have pushed the envelope of electronic music, creating hits like “Brazilian Soul,” “Classic,” and “Best Friend”. They have frequently collaborated with notable artists like Sofi Tukker, Foster The People, Purple Disco Machine, and ODESZA. For their latest album Revelation, they’ve teamed up with iconic vocalist Dragonette to deliver a collection of glossy synth-pop anthems and shimmery dancefloor reflections that feature some of the most infectious hooks we’ve heard in 2025 so far. Listen now on all platforms.

At its heart, Revelation is a love letter to dance-pop’s transformative power. The Knocks’ signature NYC electronic swagger meets Dragonette’s electro-pop prowess with effortless chemistry. Pair this energy with the incomparable style & tongue-and-cheek humor of RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Aquaria in the album’s artwork and videos, and the result is a tight, 9-track journey that captures euphoric highs, the undercurrents of modern connection, emotional yearning, and corporate satire.

The title track “Revelation” sets the tone with a dreamy pulse and a lyricism that dances between the sacred and the synthetic. Standout single “Love Me Alive” follows suit, bursting with emotional urgency and club-ready energy. It’s no surprise that this track acts as the anchor of the album—Dragonette herself calls it the “mamma song,” born directly from the creative momentum of their previous Grammy-nominated collab “Slow Song.” This one feels like a spiritual successor: slick, soulful, and utterly addictive.

Tracks like “The Hero” and “Foolish Pleasure” continue the emotional highs, blending introspective lyrics with full-throttle production. Meanwhile, “Friday Night” and “Dreams” tap into nostalgia without feeling retrograde. The cover of Pete Townshend’s “Let My Love Open The Door” closes the album with unexpected grace, filtering a classic through a synth-heavy, emotional kaleidoscope that feels both reverent and refreshing.

This is an album that sounds like it was built for both neon-lit clubs and introspective solo drives. With Revelation, The Knocks and Dragonette aren’t just reviving the golden age of dance-pop—they’re reinventing it. And if this is the sound of their creative “coming of age,” as Knocks member JPatt puts it, then we can only hope the trio stays in this era a little longer.
