The Operation: Overload EP by Slushii explores dubstep, future bass, EDM, ambient music, hip-hop, and more.
Slushii has always been an artist to blend genres. This is more apparent than ever on his latest EP, Operation Overload. As his first EP release in two years, Operation Overload is an impressive return by an artist who has been consistent for a decade.
Led by singles “It’s Not Over (Till It’s Over)” and “Wanna Be The One”, Slushii quickly shows off his expertise when it comes to bass music. With the former being a heavy dubstep track and the latter being a hip-hop infused 140 BPM tune, Slushii starts off his Operation: Overload era with a bang.
The rest of the EP has a little bit of everything. Tracks like “Even Without You”, “Chasing The Stars” and “Go With You” have a vibe that sounds distinctly Slushii. “I Wish You” is a trance beat with original vocals, “Psychosis” explores EDM and dance pop, and “Aurora Borealis” borders on ambient music. Slushii lets his creativity run free on this one, and the result is an impressive collection of tunes.
With more new music on the way this summer, Slushii is starting 2025 festival season in a big way with Operation: Overload. Slushii is an artist that has a unique talent when it comes to music production, and we look forward to more new releases in the future.
