Movement Festival in Detroit is a legendary event that honors underground techno and house music each Memorial Day. The 2025 Movement lineup is another impressive mix of acts, with some of our most-anticipated artists being Sara Landry, DJ Minx, and Charlotte de Witte.
One of the most unique aspects of Movement is the lineup of aftershows. La La Land (Green Velvet) + Nina Kraviz, Russell Industrial Center, Saturday 11 PM [tickets]

Day one of the festival will be followed by a massive lineup at Russell Industrial Center. In the main room is La La Land presented by Green Velvet, featuring openers AYYBO, Roddy Lima, and Mona Black. In the building next door is an extended set from Nina Kraviz plus Population One and Rebecca Goldberg. Russell Industrial Center is a massive Detroit landmark originally built in 1915. With two rooms and a stacked lineup, Saturday night is an ideal night to spend at Russell.
Soul Clap’s House of EFUNK DETROIT, TV Lounge, Saturday 11 PM-Monday 11 AM [tickets]

Each year, Soul Clap brings their House of EFUNK party to TV Lounge for a nonstop multi-day event featuring a wide range of artists. The show starts on Saturday and goes all the way until 11 AM on Monday morning. The two-stage outdoor setup at TV Lounge is a great place to watch the sunrise during Movement weekend. DVS1 & RE/FORM present: The Wall of Sound Detroit 2025, Bert’s Warehouse, Saturday 10 PM-10 AM [tickets]

Los Angeles promoters 6 AM, Dirty Epic, and Synthetik Minds collaborate in Detroit once again for the return of DVS1’s Wall of Sound. Billed as the sound system-centric vision of underground techno artist DVS1, The Wall of Sound provides total sonic immersion. Featuring a 3 hour set from DVS1 plus performances by Anthony Rother, Dasha Rush, DJ Pete, Disruptive Pattern Material, and Traxx, the Wall of Sound has been a must-see afterparty year after year.
OBSERVE SCENE 2025, Leland City Club, Sunday 9 PM-7 AM [tickets]

Leland City Club is a mecca of Detroit afterparties. A multi-floor venue located in a ballroom of a historic hotel built in 1927, the Leland hosts a busy weekend of late night Movement afters. OBSERVE has established itself as a staple of Movement weekend each year, always hosting an interesting mix of techno artists. Rodhad, Drumcell, Annika Wolfe, Pfirter, Julia Govor, and many more are ready to grace the stages of Leland City Club for a long night of techno. Set times
Repopulate Marts Detroit featuring Lee Foss, Magic Stick, Monday 10 PM [tickets]

Closing out the weekend at Magic Stick is a personal favorite. A recognizable club with a well-lit main room and a open-air vibe on the outdoor balcony, it’s a place worth returning to annually. Monday night at Magic Stick will be headlined by Lee Foss, with additional sets from Aluna and Grace Arribas. Headlining the Alley Deck is an extended set from Walker & Royce plus Andrea Ghita.
