Riot Fest, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, has a lineup that features some of punk and alternative rock’s biggest names.
One of the largest and longest-standing independent festivals is Riot Fest in Chicago, Illinois. Held annually in September at Douglass Park on the city’s southwest side, Riot Fest is bringing a huge lineup for their 20th anniversary in 2025.
On Friday, blink-182 returns after a performance at Lollapalooza last year. The next two days will feature Green Day and a Weezer set focused on their Blue Album from 1994. Coming off the notable release of No Name, Jack White is next in line. More sets will come from rising stars IDLES and legendary acts Sex Pistols and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

Riot Fest started in 2005 as a multi-venue weekend of shows at Chicago venues including Metro and Congress Theater.
Previously taking place at Humboldt Park, Riot Fest has been a 3-day festival held at Douglass Park since 2015. As an influential and historic live music festival, it often hosts band reunions, special performances, and full-album setlists.

The Academy Is, Cobra Starship, and Gym Class Heroes are can’t-miss artists when it comes to nostalgia. Alkaline Trio, All Time Low, Bad Religion, and Knocked Loose will play highly anticipated sets, as well pop punk mainstays The Wonder Years and Knuckle Puck.
