Tickets are on sale now to Will Ferrell’s House Party featuring Swedish House Mafia, A-Trak, Twista, and many more at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena.
Following a surprise video announcement on the Swedish House Mafia social media channels last week, the full lineup for the SHM x Will Ferrell event has been revealed. Coming to Wintrust Arena near Chicago’s South Loop on October 26, 2024, the charity event features A-Trak, Henry Fong, Gene Farris, Terry Hunter, MADDS, Twista, and Matthew Koma. Tickets are on sale now.
Few details are known about Will Ferrell’s House Party given the uniqueness of the event and the venue.
The announcement came unexpectedly via a video posted by Swedish House Mafia and shared across the Internet. While there have been other potential fourth members of Swedish House Mafia in the past like Alesso and Eric Prydz, Will Ferrell is the one performing with the three Swedes in Chicago later this year.
The event will be a fundraiser for Cancer for College, an organization that provides scholarships and medical debt relief to cancer survivors. It was founded by Craig Pollard, who Ferrell first met during his fraternity days at USC. Knowing that some funds will go towards a great cause makes this show even more special. In 2023, Will Ferrell went viral for DJing at his son’s fraternity at USC. This is the first DJ-related news involving Ferrell since that video. The fact that he not only recruited Swedish House Mafia but also an all-star supporting cast is impressive.
Coming in on the first line of artists is decorated music industry icon D-Nice and house music legends A-Trak and Felix Da Housecat. Chicago house mainstays Gene Farris and Terry Hunter will appear, as well as Detroit native Terrence Parker.
The rest of the lineup is quite diverse, with multi-genre electronic act Henry Fong, rapper Twista, singer/songwriter Matthew Koma, and frequent Lady GaGa collaborator DJ White Shadow, who is also curating the event. Other artists include MADDS, Drama, Vinny Vibe, Dallas Austin, and Chicago collective The Boom Boom Room. There is little information available as to how so many artists will be fit into one night at Wintrust Arena. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, and the show will start at 8.
