ARC Music Festival, now in its third year, sets the bar higher yet again with another impressive round of afterparties.
ARC Music Festival will be returning back to Union Park, Chicago for year three of the festival after having cemented its place as one of the country’s premier house and techno festivals since its inaugural year in 2021.
Starting with pre-parties on Thursday and ending with closing parties on Tuesday, there are more options than ever to keep yourself going before and after the festival.
Tickets to ARC Music Festival 2023 aftershows are on sale now exclusively to ARC festival ticketholders (available now).
ARC After Dark brings a solid variety of options and adds even more new venues for 2023.
You’ll see some familiar faces making their way back into the fold at Radius, Concord Music Hall, and Spybar this year, but there are some great new options as well for those looking to keep their night going past the festival’s end time of 10 PM.
The Thursday night pre-parties are back again this year with even more on the schedule. Recently opened Smoke & Mirrors, which is in the basement of Concord, will host a lineup of legendary female DJs put on by Lady of the House. Catch sets by DJ Lady D, DJ Heather, Biobooster, and Dani Deahl to kick off your festival weekend right. Elsewhere that night, you’ll also be able to catch Walker & Royce bring their signature tech house sound to Spybar and a night of thumping techno at Prysm with Ben Klock.

During the rest of the festival weekend, you can expect heavy hitting stalwarts at Chicago’s biggest venues like Adam Bayer, Eric Prydz, and Cristoph at Radius and Boris Brejcha at Cermak Hall. For those looking for more intimate events there are some big up and coming names at small to mid-sized clubs that will sure to be special. Mochakk at Smoke & Mirrors and Black Coffee at Prysm will provide that big talent energy in a smaller club setting that always makes for a great combination in an after party.

Some of the more unique experiences that you’ll find if you want to do something a bit different are the all building event at Smartbar/Metro and an afters at No. 9, the smaller upstairs backroom at Prysm. Being able to go between Boys Noize b2b VTSS at Smartbar and Mall Grab upstairs at Metro on the same ticket or seeing melodic techno queen Miss Monique in such a small space as No. 9 are the type of afters you don’t get to experience at many other festivals. Primary and The Listening Room are two downtown Chicago spots that have an impressive afters slate as well.
Being on the water and during the prime weather of the season also means you can get a classic Chicago boat party to cap off the weekend’s festivities. Catch local legend Gene Farris hosting his own yacht party aboard the Anita Dee II for Farris Wheel Recordings and friends alongside Eskuche and Basura Boyz.

With such a wide variety of options (for both music and late night eats), there is sure to be an afterparty for everyone throughout the weekend. We’re looking forward to another amazing year of ARC Music Festival in Chicago in 2023.
